About us
Welcome to our school. At Bradleys Both Community Primary School we cater for children aged 4 to 11 years old and firmly believe that these first years of school life are the most important and where children gain their thirst and enthusiasm for learning.
"At Bradleys Both, we provide a happy, creative environment where children establish the building blocks for their lifelong adventure in learning and achievement"
Headteacher's Welcome
We know that choosing a school for your child is a very important decision for any parent to make. We understand how important your children are to you and endeavour to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for your children to enjoy their first steps of learning. We aim to help to make this process easy and are here to work with you all to support you with their development.
We are fortunate enough to be set in a beautiful rural village just outside of Skipton and are on the North and West Yorkshire borders. Our school grounds provide a fantastic learning resource which includes a woodland area with a sensory garden. This is used within our teaching time to enhance the children's learning experiences. It is also used by the children at break and lunch times to provide a place for wellbeing and creativity.
The Bradleys Both family of Children, Parents, Staff, Governors and Wider Community work hard to develop exciting and purposeful teaching and learning opportunities to encourage a real enthusiasm for learning. We are very proud of our achievements and strive to ensure every child develops to their potential.
We would very much encourage you to arrange a time to visit our School, when you will be able to meet the children and staff at work and play. We look forward to being able to show you around our school and answer any questions that you may have in preparation for joining the Bradleys Both School family.

Our School
The school was built in 1914 and extended in the 1960's when the hall and the kitchen were added. There are three classrooms in the main building and a further two freestanding units in the school grounds. Each of the five classrooms has a Clevertouch interactive whiteboard with internet access. The school hall doubles up as the dining area and base for our Brads Before and After School Club. A well resourced library adjoins the hall which was redeveloped by our children and supported by the Friends fundraising. We have resourced our school with Chromebook technology which is used in classrooms to teach Computing lessons and use as a learning resource across other curriculum subjects. A Design Technology room was added in the summer of 2009 which provides a very spacious multi-purpose room which is fitted with a fully equipped kitchen, great for cooking and baking. The school has key outside learning environments in addition to a large play area comprising of a playground, wooded area and field.
Our school celebrated it's centenary birthday in 2014. The historical event brought together the extended school community past and present. A whole school mosiac was designed and made by every child as a way of celebrating the school's 100 years celebration.
"The school team is well led alongside a dedicated staff team and Governing Body"
