Year 6 Enterprise Project 2024
The Year 6 children worked really hard as Teams to run their own businesses. They researched, planned, costed, budgeted, made and marketed their own products and then sold them to the rest of the school. It was great to see how the rest of the school supported the the project and enjoyed making their purchases. The winning team who made the most profit and performed the best as a team were; Percy, Will, Aran and Alfie. The Enterprise Project has been a fantastic way to use the curriculum to teach our children about economic wellbeing and teamwork. The total final profit was an amazing £458.29 and will be spent by the children on leaving something for the whole school next year.
Schools Sports Partnership Runners Up 2023-2024
Bradleys Both came SECOND place in this year’s interschool School’s Sports Partnership Virtual Challenges. This is fantastic news and largely due to everyone in school participating in the half termly lunchtime sports clubs run by Jonny Moore from Skipton Tennis Centre. The children were presented with the Runners Up Plate which Jonny presented to the children this week. Second place out of 13 local schools who took part this year, is well worth celebrating.
Bradley Village Open Gardens Event (June 2024)
It was great to welcome visitors to school to show off our school garden and sensory garden. Many of our visitors were pleasantly surprised by what they saw and found, not expecting to find our wonderful woodland area. It was lovely to meet both local villagers and people from further afield who attended the Open Gardens event.
School Games GOLD Games Mark Award (June 2024)
Huge congratulations to everyone at Bradleys Both for achieving the School Games Gold Award for the second year running this year. This award reflects the many sporting opportunities that our children are provided with throughout the school year and represents the increased involvement in physical activity through a range of sporting experiences. We are grateful to the team at Skipton Tennis Centre who lead the local Schools Sports Partnership and in particular our visiting sports coach, Jonny Moore who has worked hard to develop competitive sport through half termly virtual sporting challenges and interschool festivals which our children have thoroughly enjoyed joining in with. This year Mr Pearson, staff and parents have developed our school Running Club which has been very well attended and provided an additional opportunity. Congratulations to Team Bradley for achieving this Gold Award! Wow –VERY WELL DONE!

Year 5 and 6 children perform in special Platinum Jubilee Concert in Harrogate (June 2022)
We were very proud to be involved in this historical event marking Her Majesty the Queen's 70 year reign. The Year 5 and 6 children performed as part of a massed choir of primary school children from across North Yorkshire in a special concert arranged by the NYCC Music Service. The children sang alongside musicians from across the county and special guests, the Band of the Grenadier Guards. The concert was held at the Harrogate Convention Centre and attended by parents and local dignitaries. Our involvement in the concert provided the children with an exciting and memorable experience of performing with others. The children worked so hard to learn, rehearse and perform their songs in the concert.
