Remote Learning and Support
Pupils' mental health has been a focus, and 'return to school' support has been effective, resulting in high attendance rates.
(Ofsted, November 2021)
During the Covid 19 pandemic schools had been required to develop provision to support their children in continuing learning remotely during either a whole school closure or a class bubble closure. Since the pandemic Bradleys Both has reviewed it's remote teaching and learning provision and considered further instances where children may be required to learn off site. Our school has worked hard to meet the Government's DfE expectations of providing improved education opportunities for children in the event they are unable to physically attend school due to school closure. Luckily this provision is only in place for extreme and very rare situations that may arise.
When is remote teaching and learning provided?
- In the rare instance our whole School has to close
- In the rare instance a Class group is unable to be accommodated within the school site
- When school and Parents are working in partnership to support a child who is unable to attend school
Please see our school's 'Remote Teaching & Learning Policy' attached below for further details and information.
IXL Mathematics and English Subscription
Our school has subscribed to the IXL online Maths and English resource for all children who attend our school. This resource is planned to be used to further support our children with revising and reinforcing learning through practising both in and out of school. Year group learning overviews are provided with resources and tasks set for each aspect of the curriculum. The use of this resource is guided by the children's class teachers and provides home and school with feedback on individual's achievements. This resource forms part of our school's 'catch-up' support following the disruption of the Covid 19 pandemic.
